The Adventus Initiative is a project to help people around the world turn ‘lock-down’ into LEARNING and ‘Re-Set’ into RENEWAL.
Much of the world prepares now to come out of the initial lock-down or quarantine phase of dealing with the Coronavirus. Many experts expect that in the next year or two it’s likely we will live in a pattern they call “the hammer and the dance,” in which we move back and forth from lock-downs in various locations and then dance into activity, and then repeat.
In response to the current lock-downs and the prospect of more, and in response to the imperative we face to re-invent the world, my long-time friend and former faculty colleague John Scherer pulled together a global team to create The Adventus Initiative. John has lived for years in Poland, where he operates the Scherer Leadership Center.

The Adventus Initiative offers a video and a set of accompanying worksheets (English, Nederlands), you can apply The Adventus Initiative to yourself, your family, your organization, community or other enterprise level.
It can be very difficult in this time of the virus to think of re-invention. Much of our days are dedicated just to surviving the day, especially if you are dealing with children at home. But perhaps now when you are in lockdown, or later when you are re-emerging, or in the context of the “hammer and the dance” you will find this process to be of deep value to you.
